Accomplished final pop riveting of the left elevator trim tab cut out.

Accomplished trim tab end bends, same as the elevator: fabricate a jig from a 2" by 4" that will fit inside (look close) then use a scrap of wood on top and C clamp together. Bend away with some wood or mallet then finish off with your flush set very gently.

The upper bend will overlap the lower.

Accomplished proper alignment of trim tab hinge, notice the material removed from the inboard area: IMPORTANT measure before cutting, and make sure there is enough material for the outboard rivet hole.

Closed the leading edges. Accomplish this by using the Avery edge rolling tool before final riveting. Once again the broom stick method or 1 inch steel pipe works great for making the leading edge bends just prior to pop riveting.

Bent hinge pin and installed trim tab, I will wait to safety wire the hinge pin until everything is painted.

Getting ready to mount the elev to the horizontal stab. Installed clevis in elevators 7/8 from bolt hole center per the plans although I may bring the bolts in more after trimming the counterbalance arms to the horizontal. Look close at the last picture and you will see what I mean. Accomplish this with a crescent wrench nice and tight, DO NOT use a #3 bolt whereas the center bearing seals will deteriorate.
